Installing aqua-sim-ng in NS-3 (V-3.29)

Hello everyone! I need to install aqua-sim-ng with NS-3 V-3.29. I have followed the procedures as described on aqua-sim-ng documentation. But unfortunately unable to install that with NS-3 V-3.29.

I download the file name aquasim-ng.tgz.There is a installation file instructed as below:

1. Prerequisites

apt-get install g++ python git tar bunzip2

2. Build AquaSim-NG

cd  ns-3.29

./waf clean

cp ./src/applications/model/onoff-application.h ./build/ns3

./waf configure --build-profile=debug --enable-examples

./waf

3. Clean the project folder

./waf clean

 

I am unable to run the prerequisites command "apt-get install g++ python git tar bunzip2" . And the version I downloaded its a locked version. so its showing

"E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open (13: Permission denied)

E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), are you root?

"

It would be really a great help if anyone could provide me any suggestion regarding the issue.Thank you.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

Thank you sir for the reply. I have run the instructions as follows

1. sudo apt-get update

2. sudo apt-get upgrade

3. apt-get install g++ python git tar bunzip2

Still showing the same result. My downloaded file called aquasim-ng.tgz is locked. After extracting , folder aquasim-ng is open. but is not working in installation.

Hi,

please install NS-3 and then add this extracted folder to your src folder in ns-3.29 and then configure your ./waf and build the module.

Hi,

please copy the folder you extracted named "Aquasim" to your installed `ns-3.29/src` folder and then go back to your `ns-3.29` folder and reconfigure your ns-3.29 using your aquasim module instructions.

./waf configure --enable-examples --enable-tests 

./waf

But i am not sure i have never used aquasim with ns-3.29, the aquasim documentation says it is tested with ns-3.26. Please refer this documentation page for more information.

Sir, I am working on UAN reservation channel MAC (UAN-RC-MAC) protocol in ns-3. I am trying to calculate the throughput for this protocol with a new network setup. But I am unable to create the trace file for this code. I have tried myself in several way but couldn't succeed.

I know you are busy with your work. It would be so kind of you if you could spend some of your precious time on this code and help to generate the trace file and calculating the throughput. I have attached the source code for your convenience. I am waiting for your reply. Thank you sir.
