Benchmark LTE Network Scenario for Wireless Communication Research

Hello,

I am currently conducting research on LTE and am in need of a recognized network scenario or topology that is commonly used as a benchmark.

Specifically, I am interested in details such as the number of evolved NodeBs (eNBs), User Equipments (UEs), their respective locations, and the pathloss models used. The goal is to use this scenario to evaluate the effectiveness of a solution I am working on.

I could create any dummy scenario but I am not expert enough in RF planning to plan the topology and choose the pathloss model to get reasonable values.

If anyone has information or could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Your assistance in this matter is invaluable to my research.

Hi,

It depends on what you want to study.

3GPP and/or ITU define reference scenarios for various use cases. You should try to find one that fits best your research subject.

You can find an example in TR 38.913 where various scenarios are defined for a 5G network for eMBB, mMTC and URLLC.
