Can any one explain what are the values inside the velocity vector ? Is that velocity vector include the values in the format (magnitude, direction) or it is in the format of (speed in x direction and speed in y direction) or some other?

I am trying to modify the existing vanet-routing-compare.cc. And I need to identify the vehicle that is traveling in the same direction and opposite direction of a node suppurate.

In the generated trace file a single field is given for the speed parameter. Is the simulator divides the speed value in the trace to x and y-axis components or it is directly giving the value to the x-axis?
