JCE Pro text disappearing!

Hello,

I upgraded JCE Pro to the most recent version, but when I tried to use it to edit a backend module to leave a note, it would not save the text.

I tried TinyMCE and that worked fine.

I spent some time looking into tweaks to the JCE profiles, but no luck.

Ultimately, I downgraded JCE from 2.9.93 to 2.9.89 and it worked again. I upgraded it to 2.9.90 and it stopped working. Leaving it at 2.9.89. Not sure why this has this problem or whether this is only with this site -- maybe some conflict or something?  I dropped JCE a note.

This is on Joomla 5.3.3 and also uses Gantry 5.5.25, and occurs on articles, modules, etc. Not sure if it happens on JCE Core or just JCE Pro.

I googled the issue but didn't see it otherwise reported. You would think that it is generally working and there is something particular about this site, but I don't know what it is yet.

I think the next thing I'd check would be a PHP version compatibility. I've gotten hung up on that a time or two.

It is kind of puzzling... but perhaps unique to the software on this site. It does not seem to be related to the PHP version.

The JCE fails both on the live site on GoDaddy and test site on InMotion.  Both PHP 8.1.33, but I have it working on other sites on 8.1.33.

At least downgrading it has it working for the client... 

It does seem to be working on other sites, with a variety of software.
