I have few questions regarding the hackspace cnc router:
- can it be used to flatten oak wood board? (the thicknesser can only take 200mm wide wood)
- is it possible to use it on longer board than it own side? i have a board of 1400x650

If not, can you recommend another place in Norwich area where I can so the plan my oak board project (plan to make a river resin table). I checked with Mitchel Reclaim but apparently their P/N is currently out of order.

Another option that I am considering as last resort would build my own sledge and use my own 8mm cordless router to do the work… but it might take ages.

Hello i don't think the CNC will do it but i am also a bit confused about your request. How thick is the wood? I am gathering it is 1400 long and 650 wide. But which dimension are you trying to reduce?

No the CNC is not big enough. The Art school have a massive 6'x4 CNC but have no idea if it's available for public use.

I was goning to suggest using a handheld router with some kind of sled or jig. Personally I don't know of any wood workshops that would do it for you but I am sure there must be some around.
