Challenge game this year - Cubberley vs Creekside (Cupertino) - Friday July 23, noon at Lakewood

Hi Northpark folks,

 

Since our game is not active, we decided to have the challenge game between Encinal (Cubberley) and Cupertino (Creekside).  Game will be on Friday July 23, at noon at Lakewood.

 

Feel free to come and join in – you can choose either Encinal or Cupertino, although I suspect there will be fewer folks from Cupertino overall.

Hi Creekside folks,

 

With the intent of fostering camaraderie between players, we have been holding "challenge" games between Northpark and Cubberley(Encinal) since 2008.  We missed the game last year due to the pandemic.  The Northpark game is on hiatus, so we will hold a challenge game between Creekside and Cubberley this year.

 

The Cubberley/Creekside challenge game will be held on Friday July 23 at Lakewood Park.  ARRIVE AT NOON, FIRST PULL at 12:15pm.

GAME FORMAT:

- Cubberley - wear white, Creekside - colors.  Bring a spare shirt so we can equalize subs as needed.

- Two fields will be set up.

- First game between Cubberley-A and Creekside-A will start as soon as we have quorum.  Game will be to 11 points, cap at 11.

- Second game between Cubberley-B and Creekside-B will start as soon as we have quorum.  Depending on start time, this game will be to either 9 points or 7 points.

- When both games finish, Creekside teams will switch fields.  Cubberley-A will play Creekside-B, and vice-versa.  Both games will be to 11, cap at 11.

Most of the pickup games have restarted at the usual days, times, and locations, with the notable exception of Northpark.

For samplers, MWF 12:30 at Cubberly, TTh 12:30 at Creekside, Th alternating between Cubberley and Eagle at 12:30, Sat. 1:00 Ortega Park, Wed 6:00 Ortega Park until DST ends. There are more!

Pick your poison and please come out!
