Hi All,

I moved to Newcastle last year, and hope to be coming along to the maker space next Wednesday if it is open?

Also I have some stuff I want to get rid of as I don’t have enough space for it.

-Audio signal generator
-Modern Epsom 9pin dot matrix printer and continuous paper
-RPi 5 16GB in posh case with built in fan 500GB SSD
-Hot tweezers SMD soldering station.
-Del 1U rack mount server PowerEdge R630, intel xeon 14 core hyper threaded processor (+ space for one more processor) 64GB ram + 2 caddies (no disks) includes 2 power supplies

If you want any of this stuff please email me and we can arrange a price and pick up (I don’t have a  car so buyer collects (except for RPi)).

I have a robot circuit sculpture that I am building for my daughter, and hope to get some help with the coding for it.

Best wishes,

Mike

Hi again all,

Sorry I realise my email was not very clear. Perhaps I should give you some asking prices?

Audio Signal Generator £30
9 pin dot matrix and paper £100
Hot tweezers - free!
Server £70

I decided to keep the pi after all.

Best wishes,

Mike

Hi Mike,

If Imam honest I don’t think anyone on here is going to be interested. It is not impossible, but very unlikely. We get donated things like this and struggle to get rid of them at times. Perhaps eBay is the way to go.

As for the robot sculpture you are building, you should come along to one of the Maker Space visitor nights and you might find someone to help. If nothing else you can find out what we are all about and perhaps get a few pointers.

All the best,

  Alistair

The hot tweezers might be something we are interested in having in the space.
Do you have some photos or a model number?

Best,
Dan

I’ll be honest Dan - the tweezers are a give away because they are only of use for larger SMD devices because they are poorly engineered. Of course the anyone is welcome to them.
