Does the space have a track or a circular saw?

Hi,

I've seen some old threads around getting a track saw or a circular saw for the space. Is any of the two available or are there plans to get those?

As part of my project I might need to do some rip cuts on wood and something like a track saw would be very handy.

Hi Mateusz,

Yes we have a track saw. I think we may still have a circular saw around, but there will not be many occasions when you would use that over a track saw. We do not have a table saw.

Oh that's great. Yeah, I think track saw is what I need. Is there anyone who could induct me on it so I can safely use it?

Hi Mateusz,

Have you gone through the general induction yet? We should get that organised if not. This might answer some of the questions you will have.

There is no formal training for the track saw, but someone should show you how to use it. It is very easy to do. It is probably best to do when you have the material you want to cut.

Hi Alistair,

Thank you again! Yes, I visited the space back in June during one of the open sessions and you showed me around the space.

I already have the material to cut, so happy to bring it over (nothing large btw and I'll take it back home). I could even come tonight if that works.
