Can't find the Matrix server

Hi all, sorry to ask a question that probably has a very simple answer that I'm missing.

I've created a Matrix account and followed the guidance on the makerspace website, but I can't find the room. There are no results for "maker", "makerspace", "makerspace-ncl", "#makerspace-ncl", etc etc. I am searching the matrix.org domain, and have tried looking for rooms, spaces, and people (the three options).

What am I doing wrong?

Use the matrix.to link instead, this is the much easier method than searching for rooms.

I'll make this the suggested method on the wiki.

looking at the room, the full name is 

#makerspace-ncl-main:matrix.org

if that helps ?

if not maybe someone else who knows more about it technically than I do and can assist with more general info about setup

Thank you all. The .to link worked, but I think it would be a good idea to update the wiki, as you suggested Dan.

@glen I didn't even know there was another group! So thank you for that. Another thing to mention on the Wiki, unless it's supposed to be secret?

The members list is intentionally not on the wiki as it for members only and people are added to it as part of the membership sign up process (i.e. it serves no purpose to advertise it).
