Where to give away things I don't want?

I am starting to collect electronic parts which I don't need and wondering where I can donate them. Right now, it is some panel connectors like panel usb 2. I bought them online and later found better ones. They are not broken so return postage for low cost items makes a return not viable.

I just know from experience that "things that might come in handy" will grow over time and I want somewhere to give them. Anyone know of anything? eBay is not an option because I am left looking after things which might never get sold.

Thanks

We do take some donations at Maker Space, but we do not take anything automatically or we will just end up with piles of stuff that will never get used.

We also have a "Hack or Die" shelf where we can place things for others to taek, but you need to take them away again if no one takes then after a few weeks maximum.

Finally we often do "Virtual Hack or Die" where we list what we have and people can ask for them.

Probably the best thing to do it to make a list, or take some photos, and we can work out what the best options are.

All the best,

  Alistair
