Hello everyone,

Please accept my apologies for the radio silence since our last game.  I've been very busy with upgrading the Arms Merchant sheet of our campaign spreadsheet, and I am pleased to announce those changes are now live!  You can see them in the latest spreadsheet.

Maybe it's because I'm working for a tech company by day, but I thought a release notes-styled message with bullet points made the most sense this time.

Arms Merchant v139 Release Notes
  • Revamped the Always Available Units list and replaced all values calculated via macros with plain text.  This is not the final form of the Always Available Units list--as we continue playing, changes will be made based on feedback and alignment with campaign goals.
  • Replaced existing shop unit generation functions with new functions that are accessed via the BT Functions menu that I created earlier.  Mechs and vehicle lists can be refreshed separately or together as the GM desires and there is now no risk of accidental refreshes while editing the shop's contents.
  • The Black Market makes its debut.  The Black Market replaces the traditional Hush-Hush section and will (for now) be the catchall location for any additional units or equipment that may become available for purchase.  Plans to expand its capabilities are coming to a rules proposal near you in the future.
  • Salvage section will be minimized for now--entering information on salvaged units is a manual process and I'm imagining that until I can write proper automation for it, just sharing a link to the record sheet as well as giving the general status, repair cost, and comp cost should be enough.
That's all for now.  Mission debriefs, interludes, and new mission briefings will be coming soon.  Until then, please provide any feedback you might have.
