nomad-ui behind nginx reverse proxy

Hi folks,

I spent some time trying to hide nomad-ui behind an nginx reverse proxy. My previous clumsy attempts using the following section did not work out so well.

location /monitor/nomad-ui {
   proxy_pass http://nomad-ui;
   rewrite ^/monitor/nomad-ui/(.*) /$1 break;
   proxy_set_header Host $http_host;
}

While the initial page is loading, all resources are being referenced from '/'. Looking at the source code, I found no way to configure some kind of a base url. Unfortunately in my case, using another port is not an option.
Has anybody figured out, if/how this can be done?

this has been requested before, see https://github.com/iverberk/nomad-ui/issues/15 but apparently not easy to do so with the current codebase.

The successor to nomad-ui, hashi-ui, do support this :) Please see https://github.com/jippi/hashi-ui
