It's probably a stupid question but can I use nogotofail on the same linux station as the TLS client I want to test?

If so, which mode should I use?

I tried the redirect mode as the readme seemed to indicate that all TCP traffic would be routed through nogotofail but my client seemed to bypassed nogotofail anyway.

If you're running on the same machine you'll want to use socks mode and something like proxychains to force all the traffic from whatever you're testing through the MiTM.
