cant see the changes made in the local directory in output

Hello people,

I got a doubt to ask.

I am relatively new to npm and node.

I am working for a project where I need to develop on cordova-cli and cordova-lib - and these project have been published on npm.

I git cloned there repositories and followed what is mentioned here :https://github.com/apache/cordova-lib#setup

But the issue is I am not able to see the changes I make in local directory to reflect in the output. Here is the package.json of cordova-lib. It has a repository field in the package.json which defines where the code lies. Is it because of that I am not able to see the changes I make in my local directory or something else am I missing?
