searching request with an agent like in a web browser

Hi,

i have troubles finding an http agent that is able to track ETag header in responses

and send If-None-Match headers in requests, allowing one to repeatedly request a

url without having to download data every time.

And, in general, a compliant request agent like one that is available in a browser

environment. Any idea ? request +  some proxy ?
