Hi everyone,
Here's what our requirements look like:
Define a private NPM registry
Define multiple public NPM registries as proxies
Grouping them all together as a single URL would be great.
The Java world has been using Maven for quite a while... They recently are planning to release Nexus OSS 2.10 and the early access notes are at
https://support.sonatype.com/entries/99850886-Sonatype-Nexus-2-10-Early-Access
, which adds support to NPM registries with those minimum requirements... The release is documented at
https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-5852.
.. That's the
charm of Nexus OSS solution!
For those who use Docker, I created a Docker image for testing those basic requirements:
https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/marcellodesales/nexus-npm-registry/
(
Pull Requests for improvements to the Docker image are welcomed!)
... Note that some Nexus features are still not fully integrated (you can have access to them at
https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-5852).
..
I successfully have deployed this Docker image in a private server and working as advertised!!! That's why I thought to share with whoever is interested and was frustrated in getting an NPM private registry to do those basic...
thanks
Marcello
