Hello.  Total noob here.  I'm trying to create the following scenario:

1.  Have a server running node on a computer
2.  Have 2 different tablets that will run different movies on each device, but both are connected to the node server.
3.  The node server will emit a message to each client at the same time on the minute to refresh or restart the video on the tablets.

I've been able to create a basic server and using express have created multiple routes (for each video).  I just realized that the video tag (HTML5) doesn't allow you to access a file unless it's static???  I'm not really sure.  Either way, upon inspecting elements, the clients don't see my video in the main root directory.  I'm not sure if I'm really approaching this the correct way either.

Any help/direction would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Mike

It would help to see the portion of your code that's not working. For example, tell us where the video files are on disk, and show us the code that's meant to serve them.

And also how are you emitting this event to the clients - sockets? long poll?
