TTY Complatible terminal for Nodeschool.io tutorials. Need to install or what? :)

Hello gang, 

So I am using Bash terminal on my rig but it doesn't work properly with the Nodeschool tutorials. 

I was kinda writing for example: "javascripting select 01" to choose chapters in the workshop, which is really inconvenient.

What operating system are you on here?

What error do you get when you run it? I'm not quite sure what you're asking about a "TTY Compatible terminal" (a TTY interface is in fact what a terminal exposes and controls, at least in unix (and arguably at all, depending on definitions), so there may be some mismatch in terms here)
