Cannot uninstall dashboard - ui_base in use

Hey all,

I installed this guy: https://github.com/node-red/node-red-dashboard

I thought maybe it would make things easier than using the front-end of Home Assistant but I was wrong.

I'm trying to remove it now but it says that ui_base is in use and I cannot:



I don't have any nodes from it deployed so not sure what I need to remove to allow me to uninstall it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Dan,

you have a ui_base config node that needs to be deleted.

From the main dropdown menu, select 'Configuration nodes' to open the config node sidebar. Look for the ui_base node, double click it to open its edit dialog and then click the delete button.

You should then find you can remove node-red-dashboard.

Thanks Nick!  That seems to have gotten me closer.  The ui_base no longer shows in-use but when I try to remove the dashboard I get this:



Thoughts on next steps?  It says check the logs for more info but I don't know where that is.  I looked in the .node-red folder and don't see it there.

Did you hit deploy after deleting the node? I suspect you didn't, so the node was still being used by the runtime.
