Issue with BigTimer - First Output not sending any messages

Hi All,

I'm sort of new to Node-Red and FUC*ING LOVE IT!!  It's just what I needed to kick my Home Assistant automation up a notch, and just make them easier to figure out.... anyhow, that's not why I'm posting here...

The reason is that I came across BigTimer (which is pretty awesome, as I'm sure many of you know) but the problem I'm having is that no matter what I try, I cant get ANY output through the First output of the node.

I've done some troubleshooting, and I find that no matter what time setting I try, or manual inputs I push through bigtimer, I NEVER get anything out of the first (topmost) output on bigtimer. If I connect debug to the second output, I get the message as intended, at switch time, and every minute as well, and when I manually push ON or OFF through input. But in any of those circumstances, I NEVER see any output through the first output... Any ideas why this isn't working?

As a workaround, I have put an RBE node attached to the second output to simulate a working first output.  But its cumbersome and doesn't work well with manual input commands.

PS - I have tried this on several different new bigtimer nodes, and even on multiple tabs and flows... I get the same results each time. Thanks for any advice!!

I'm using bigtimer too for some home automation tasks. And yes, the topmost output is where the messages with the configured payload appear. So obviously I'm puzzled about your problem as are probably others too.

Please post the flow with your five nodes, then I can import it on my system and have a look at the configuration.

The answer might be delayed until Monday, there is still a lot of snow in the Swiss mountains and I intend to get onto a peak since the weather is fine.

You haven't configured big timer correctly..  here is one of my flows which output on and off commands...

@Flynn - THANK YOU! my issue was super simple... I probably missed it from the documentation, but at least to me, it was not obvious - intuitively I would have thought a 1/0 would be sent out of the first output, just like the repeating output... But, one MUST have a value in the ON/OFF boxes for that first output to work at all.  Thank you again for sending your bigtimer for me to compare the config.

I think it would be a bug in the node if it acted as you describe.  The fields define what to output. If you have nothing in the field then it should output nothing.
