I've installed the last version of node red (0.17.4) and node.js (6.11.2) and there is also mpm 3.10.10 on raspbian. In this version I can't see the "Manage palette" option in the node red menu. How do I enable this option?

Thanks

Sorry for the typo. node red is 0.17.5.

Hi Miguel,

does the node-red startup log say anything about the palette editor? (run the command node-red-log to see the output)

Hi,

if there are no messages saying the palette editor is disabled, then it should be available.

In 0.17, you should have the 'Manage palette' option in the drop down menu, but you should also have a 'Settings'  option, which opens the User Settings dialog, within which you can go to the 'Palette' tab.

Neither option is avalilable. One thing weird I noticed is that in the menu you can see v0.17.4 and in the log v0.17.5. Maybe something is wrong with the package build.

Hi,

There's nothing wrong with the packaging - the version number logged in the console comes from the same place as the version number presented in the editor menu.

If you go to http://localhost:1880/settings (substitute localhost:1880 with whatever ip/port you're using to access Node-RED), what version number is reported within the JSON that returns?

Nick,

After returning to the editor from the settings you asked me to see, the menu version changed to v0.17.5 and I can see the Manage Palette. Maybe the browser was using something from its cache.

Thanks
