POKY on Monterey M1 Apple

Dear all,

I got the mac version of Poky after downloading the Xquartz software. When I click on the app in the poky_mac folder (located in the Download folder) it tries to open it but nothing happens. I'm using the Monterey version.

Any suggestion?

Dear Marco,

 

Here is what I do.

 

1. Unzip the downloaded poky_mac.zip.
2. Drag and drop poky.app icon into /Applications folder.
3. In the terminal, type
1. sudo spctl --master-disable
4. Click poky.app icon from /Applications
1. Say no if asked moving the app to trash.
5. Go System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General
1. Click the “Open Anyway” button.
