easy_bruk2ucsf does not work

Dear all,

I am trying to convert some 2rr files from bruker to .ucsf but the easy_bruk2ucsf application doesn't do it. Upon selecting the 2rr file I click "convert All" and a window pops up saying: "test.ucsf not generated. Something is wrong. Quit..."

I am using it on Mac Catalina.

Do you know how it could be fixed?

Dear Miguel,

 

Three possibilities,

 

One, your full disk access has not given to easy_bruk2ucsf.

Two, you have spaces or special characters in the path.

Three, bruk2ucsf tool itself is not recognized.

 

However, the Poky suite will resolve those issues. I expect it to be released sometime next week. Keep your eyes on this forum.

I have the same problem (OSX10.14.6) with a slightly different twist. 

The 2rr files you generate on Topspin on a mac can appear to be text files (they are not). This is not a problem for topspin nor sparky nor poky. They all open it no problem

However, easy_bruk2ucsf will not even recognize it as a 2rr file. You need to use  *.*   to see it but this will also not work....

Same if you actually give it a binary 2rr file.  

But as I said,  topspin, sparky nor poky have an issue with any of this.

In Poky, I can select 2rr without any problem.

 

What do you mean the text files?

I was referring to  easy_bruk2ucsf from NMRFAM sparky, not POKY, ..... I was referring to Miguels Sparky experience.  Sorry this was not clear

Hi there,

we are using Bruker to UCSF conversion on Mac. So far with "easy bruk2ucsf". This is only GUI based, if I understand correctly. Is there a way to get the "old way", namely where bruk2ucsf is just a shell command, such that one can script and automate this? Clicking through menus is tedious and error-prone, and leaves no trace to what has been done.
