Video Editing Software

Michael L had asked toning about video editing software on Linux.  I don't have a huge amount of experience, but here is the article I had found.


I had been using OpenShot. It was okay except it kept crashing, possibly because it was over the air TV recordings, and there were occasional blips in the recording.  When I upgraded it had free-form text boxes for things like video and audio codecs to use. I'm not sure if there was something wrong with my install or that's how it was supposed to be.

Kdenlive was one recommended as a replacement. I haven't had a lot of experience.

Let us know if you need any additional information.  Maybe someone will have more experience.

I haven't done too much editing but I've tried Kdenlive before. Last several times I used Shotcut and I'm satisfied with it.
