Some of you may have received an email from meetup about needing a new organizer. I just accepted, changed the role of the previous organizers to standard members, and set up billing on my own credit card.
We can now use Meetup as a promotion and registration tool again!
The rest of you can ignore emails from meetup about needing a new organizer.
Back story:
A couple years ago, John O'Malley and I were organizers but were both preoccupied with some family health challenges when the billing credit card expired. Meetup sent notifications to the group for new organizers. It was picked up by individuals none of knew, and we were unable to get the group administration back.
