Stalled MCMC

Hi all, 

I am trying to fit an unmarked SCR - telemetry model with a lot of possible individuals over a fairly large spatial scale, so the model has a lot of nodes and is slow in running. I plan to send it to a HPC cluster for a proper run but wanted to make sure it works first. I did a test run with 2 chains of 100 and it was running fine until I unplugged my laptop to go home. Over 12 hours later the model still appears to be running (no error message, red stop sign in Rstudio still there) but it has made no progress. I know sometimes the MCMC can get stuck in something like a rejection loop. Is there any way to get out of it?

Have you tried Ctrl-C?
