A small group of birders joined me at Pawtuckaway State Park on Saturday
5/18 for a Birding-by-ear workshop
to benefit NH Audubon's terrific publication " NH Bird Records"
We heard and/or saw 43 species.
Highlights included 3-4 make Scarlet Tanagers, 3-4 Yellow-throated Vireos,
several Blue-headed Vireos and Red-eyed Vireos, several Prairie Warblers and
Northern Parulas, a Veery that sat in the sun close to us while it called,
and great looks at a Louisiana Waterthrush only 10 feet away just above
eye-level bobbing and singing!
