Thus CNBC headlines a catastrophic consequence, NOT of "the pandemic" per se, but of the lockdowns, which have crashed America's economy (a death blow augmented by the George Floyd/BLM moment, with the cops pummeling protesters and journalists while letting arsonists and vandals do their thing).

This is the bitter fruit of dealing with COVID-19, not by quarantining the most vulnerable, but by shuttering the whole society---a first in the history of pandemics.
