Hello everyone,
It's time to nominate books for 2025. We're doing things a bit differently this year than we have in years past, so please read through the below.

First, instead of a form, I've created this spreadsheet for nominations. Each month has a different tab at the bottom, so hopefully that will keep things from getting too confusing. February will be our month to read a book from your TBR pile, so there's no tab for that month. In addition to the book's title and the author, I've included a column for why you're nominating the book. It can be any reason you want! To keep things from getting too overwhelming, please limit nominations to no more than two per month.

Also, you'll notice that the categories have been switched up a bit and are more general (and there are now two months of fantasy!), so it would be great if everyone could consider diversity when nominating books.

To organize the submissions and give people time to vote, please send your nominations by Friday, November 22nd. After nominations are in, Katie D. will send out a form for voting, as she had a brilliant idea to help with tallying votes, so be on the lookout for an email from her.

Looking forward to reading with all of you next year!

I was just sent a late-in-the-game idea for February, which I thought sounded cool, so I added a category for that month for anyone who's already looked at the spreadsheet!

I wonder whether we could combine the ideas and make February read-your-own banned book, which would expose everyone to a whole bunch of banned books?

That was actually what I had meant to suggest! I thought it would be fun to support a wide variety of banned books and get lots of suggestions!

Love this idea! I’ll remove it from the spreadsheet.

Very cool idea Karen and thanks you to all for working on this for everyone. I will take a look and put in some nominations tonight. Just wanted to share Sulzer’s line up for their YA book club for ideas and also potentially avoid since they put those on hold for their book club that month.
