Hi,

Does anyone have a code or a paper describing a code that would help create traffic rules (traffic direction, no turns at intersections, no cars, no walking...) for a NetworkX Graph? This would be for a Djisktra shortest path analysis.

Hi Nicolas,
For many traffic multimodal related rules, please check out a  General Modeling Network Specification (GMNS) standard:  zephyr-data-specs/GMNS: General Modeling Network Specification (github.com), similar to GTFS, and related packages https://osm2gmns.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html that generates GMNS networks for any cities. I am hoping the NetworkX community can have an interface to read GMNS data format and perform traffic rule sensitive routing, such as path4gmns · PyPI

Thanks,

You also might consider looking for such papers in the Computational Social Science field. You may be able to derive some rules from agent based modeling work that has been done.
