Socket connection establishment blocking

Hi 

I am trying to block socket connection establishment from a IP by keeping a threshold count for a single IP. I am currently using SimpleChannelInboundHandler for message consumption.

Can some one help me in finding a reference to achieve this.

If you really want to block it before its accepted you will need to use a firewall like iptables. If you just want to close new connections after a threshold you can override channelActive(…) and do it there.
