Hey guys I am working on a server written in Netty. I was wondering
1. What is the maximum number of connections the netty server sets by default?
2. How can we override this number?
3. What happens when the maximum number of connections are met? Are the packets dropped?

The reason why I am asking this is because we are seeing requests going from the client through our proxy, but never makes it to the netty server. There are no errors what so ever in any of the logs (be it application or syslogs), so was wondering if netty connection exhaustion could be causing this issue.

Netty itself does not expose any limits here. That said you may need to tune file descriptor limits etc on the OS.
