Just received a bunch of 3mm neon bulbs.
Up til recently I didn't even know they made them this small.

The resistors in the second picture are 1/4W. Yes, that small :)

I find tiny neon bulbs inside the flash of old disposable cameras - they are almost spherical in shape and also very tiny. I find the cameras at charity stores such as Variety Village and Salvation Army and Goodwill stores in America. - the single use type.
