This is an XN-11 tubed, QTC kit based, GPS enabled, Tesla Meets Edison Nixie clock with Lichtenberg etching that I have just finished.

Much improved over the prototype version.

Roddy, this looks beautiful! Only one question: what's with the LEDs? Don't they interfere with the beautiful antique vibe? :p

Hi Jens,

the RGB LEDs pulse and send Tesla energy through to the globes via the connecting wires, or at least that is my reason for having them!

Not as efficient as the system Tesla proposed but it works!

Some folks just don’t appreciate anything other than what they are used to.  I think the clock and baselighting are awesome!

When I made the 'Lichtenberg' version of the Tesla Meets Edison nixie clock I also made a version in white oak for another collector.

In the 'plain' version it lacked the stand out features of the Lichtenberg one so something was needed to bring it up in the visual department.

The addition of engraved end plates really made it look more stunning.
