I was asked by a friend to build a cheap nixie clock. That's the result, the 48 Swiss chocolates in this box were much more expensive than the clock :-)

It has much more taste than my old Cigar box Nixie clock.

Nice cigar box clock! In my case, I was not able to cut a decent rectangle out of the wood, every time I tried to make a correction it got worse and worse, a nightmare... finally the 3D printer had to save the project

Heh, I used a cigar box for my nixie divergence meter too, but I wrapped it in dryer duct tape.

Nice. BTW, a handy tip - if you don't have the official ribbon cable cutting tool, you can crimp the connector as shown in your picture and then run a NEW, SHARP razor blade / box-cutter blade along the connector body to slice off the ribbon cable "tail". It takes a little practice to get the angle right, but you end up with a much cleaner connector. If the cut leaves wire "whiskers", your blade is either too dull or you're cutting at the wrong angle.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that. The official cutting tools I've found cut only up to 56mm, but my ribbon cable is 80mm wide, so it needs 2 cuts. I should have designed my boards with 2 x 32 connectors

What I meant was that I should have designed the boards with two separate 32 pin connectors...
