Found this in my archives, by Patrick Jankowiak - lot of good information relevant to those building CRT clocks & doing stuff with VFDs etc.

I have a suspicion that I originally got it from http://www.bunkerofdoom.com/ - a great site...

I found the same document from 


Despite the long URL AVG said it was a clean site so I took the risk and downloaded it. No trouble so far and that was about 3 months ago.

Russian CRT phosphor designation

I = Green medium short persistence  Similar to UK/US P1
V = Yellow green fluoresce with long yellow persistence
M = Short persistence blue florescence  Similar to UK/US P11

I just checked - "Bunker of Doom" is Patrick Jankowiak's own site - the correct URL for the document is http://www.bunkerofdoom.com/tubes/crt/crt_phosphor_research.pdf

The actual URL embedded in that Google search value you had is http://amfone.net/Amforum/index.php?topic=18928.0 but the correct home page for the document is definitely at the author's own site above.

EDIT: Just noticed that the poster of the above article on AMforum was Peter himself!
