Nixie Sightings in movies

A few days ago I was reading a biography of Howard Hughes.   It mentioned that

at one point he owned a TV station.   His favorite movie was Ice Station Zebra.

Supposedly, Hughes had that movie aired on that station many hundreds of times.

So last night I found and watched Ice Station Zebra.   It is a bizarre movie!   Well

worth watching.   In the opening few minutes there are several really great

close-up views of nixie counter arrays.

I like how they also found a Russion nixie clock to film, in addition to the American clock.
