Makes you wonder what the production lines for Russian tubes looked like

This one is technically ukrainian, but yeah, this is really funny. I think the idea of someone toiling away to bring home an expensive 12 digit calculator and then one of the digits is backwards, especially in the 1s place, is so funny.

...isn't that what someone said when they were printing US postage stamps of an airplane back in 1918 ??
Last I heard, one of those few stamps sold for 1.7million USD.

Might want to hold onto that tube.....

Yes, the Inverted Jenny stamp (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverted_Jenny). Of course the price is due to the fact there are a lot more stamp collectors than Nixie Tube collectors. Not sure how long stamp collecting prices like this will remain sustainable as the number of collectors has been declining for a long time. It coincides with the drop in first class mail and the use of stamps as few people ever see postage stamps any longer so do not gain an interest in stamp collecting. I cannot remember the last time I received an envelope in the mail that had a stamp on it. Everything is either metered, has a USPS postage paid sticker on it or has some kind of pre-sorted bulk mailing box on it.
