I have 7 NOS B5750 nixies here that I'm not going to use....if interested, PM me with reasonable offers.

Cheers,

WoW! That was quick!

What is a sensible price to pay for any of these tubes these days? B5853, B5870, B5750 and the likes. Just looking for an idea of the range of prices, although I understand large quantities can push the price down, I'm just looking to have a sense of what is fair to pay.

These types appear to go for anywhere in the $12 to $18 range from what I've seen recently (there haven't been many on eBay in a while that I've noticed..). However, there will always be outliers to this and the occasional 1 or 2 tubes go for a little less (toober, a seller on eBay appears to have the odd onesie or twosie of various nixies come through and they go for reasonable prices).

Thanks. In the UK I've seen then from £18.50 to £22!

Wow...alas, that seems to be the way all the nixies are heading as to be expected with limited supplies....even IN12's are getting more expensive now....I like them myself, never understood why some people weren't fans (yes, the 2/5 thing bothers some folks....first world problems and all that...) as they last a long time from my experience and the digit size is good.

Or $75. ROFL. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324267690931. Go to pvelectronics.com and buy them from there. Or buy the Rodan GR-116Ds instead.

I know their display is pretty sharp, but personally I’ve never liked these tubes, the wires just annoy me. Dumb I know.

Thank you all. Indeed I have purchased some B-5870s from them as well as GR-116Ds, I was curious to see why the latter are cheaper, probably less stable.

Paolo, thanks for the note too, but that shop is only a few miles from my home, easier and more carbon neutral :)

Thanks Terry. A senior moment there.

Why are the Rodan’s cheaper? Maybe Burroughs have more brand recognition. Personally I would prefer the Rodans. I’m pretty sure that Burroughs just re-badged a Japanese tube anyway.
