the big TO-3 regulators were rated for higher current than the TO-220
versions. (although both assume you put them on Heat sinks.)

Hello.
Freeform electronics are a very fine form of art. Reproducing what is shown in the pictures requires a lot of practice, starting with getting the wires straight and of proper length.

A worldwide reference for freeform electronics is Mohit Bhoite, amongst few others. Check out his social media profiles for pictures and some youtube videos where he gets into the details of his building techniques (like https://youtu.be/LqVFxNFGNbc and this one from Remoticon 2020 https://youtu.be/p5GvcxMcR74).

In a twitter thread about selling these sculptures, Mohit mentioned that it takes him 15 hours to build the small ones: can't think how long it would take to build the clock on sale!

Mohit makes some lovely looking electronic 'sculptures'....I'd take a crack at the kit, but I have too many projects languishing that need completion already!

My primary form of art is kinetic sculpture so this is of great interest. And beyond my limited abilities.
