Hi Magnus, I've accumulated quite a few 843's and the only thing I can think about doing with them is a binary nixie clock using +/-, but would take a while to get used to telling the time....;-)

Another idea for those symbols nixies I found is to use them as separators.  

My new clock using ZM1000s will use one or two Burroughs -/+ and they will blink once per second

I have one nixieclock to finish, two VFDs and a ton of various “fun stuff” to deal with, so I could definitely get rid of the five 843’s I have.

 

They are mounted in sockets on a PCB and some (or all) should be working OK.

Mail me and we can maybe make a deal.

Folks, here are some pictures of the symbol tubes (two emails)...I would love to attach videos of everything, but I have a life to lead and I can't attach too many large files to a single email. To all those who have contacted me about these, I will reply accordingly, apologies for the delay and will answer any questions. I also found a NL5448 if anyone is interested.

The only one I couldn't find a data sheet on is the NL827 which is a rather unusual double symbol end view tube....if anyone can find a data sheet that would be awesome. The rest (apart from the chinese QS-27, which appears to just indicate 'KH'...KiloHertz?.
