Listing says he has 15 total, selling in groups of 5, so about 130USD each. Not a bad price, considering recent auctions of 200USD. That said, I'm glad I got mine years ago.

I still think they are ugly, but I overlook that because of their gigantic size.

He said it was for 5 via messages.

I’ll let you know later today when the package is delivered.

It was for 5.

Due to poor packaging, 1 of the 5 was shattered (amazingly, only 1).  The other 4 were perfect and tested great.

Receiving and opening and testing done on video.  Already contacted seller and he offered refund or replacement.  I’m opting for replacement.

Also, he states he is no longer selling in a group of 5, but other auctions will be for pairs.  Those prices are on par with normal pricing, so I’ll likely not bid.

That sucks but I was kind of expecting it seeing the listing's pictures. Carelessly shipping B-7971s should be a federal crime.

It breaks my heart when I read about a shattered nixie tube, especially the expensive or rare ones that are hard to come by.

A few days ago, I managed to snag a B7971 for $150 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/296659825390).
And the day before, a miracle happened. I got two B5971s in boxes for $35 each (https://www.ebay.com/itm/135215259536).
I'm wondering if it's a late Children's Day gift.

How in the world did I miss that one?

I got three of them a year ago for $39 apiece plus another for $73.

It's Christmas 365.24 days a year here. If you have any old Christmas lights let me know.
