I hope you have better luck with IN-1's than I did...I found them to be very unreliable.

You can always put them in a microwave oven......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYUMy0P560k

Hi Jasper
The clock looks great!  I like the IN-1s because of their relatively large digits and their top view.  I’ve found their vertical alignment relative to Pin 1 to rather sloppy so if they are mounted in sockets, the digits can be off 2 or 3 degrees from vertical.  Using pin sockets as you’ve done allows you to rotate the tubes as needed to vertically align them.

I’m curious as to how you have secured them in the wood so they don’t fall out or rotate.  Also wondering what kit you used.

hello for the kit i used this ive linked it below, it has been working perfectly and has really clear instructons for it i do enjoy it being set by remote makes it easeir to fit in a smaller case i also found it to be keeping time really well so far https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005062855690.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.16.54c918023RNSPb
and to secure the tubes in place i used clear silicon it works really well. allows time to turn the digits so they are perfectly straight

Thanks for the info, Jasper.  That looks like a pretty straightforward kit for a quick gift clock, and cheap too!
That’s a good tip with the silicone!
