Good finds, Martin!
This morning
at a small hamfest
I had my share of luck too. An HP 3734A was being sold "just for the (5) Nixies" at €20. It uses ZM1022, it's an HP, I don't have HP gear: I bought it.
When we came home I could appreciate how physically damaged the unit was. It's like it fell on the top right corner and the whole chassis is deformed. The fuses were both intact so I plugged it in. I got it for the tubes, no?! Surprise surprise, it lit up! The frequency and period counter functions don't work, but the impulse counter does! The clock generator large crystal might have been broken in the fall?! All digits work as well as "dot" neon bulbs.
I am more and more convinced that it could be restored and become a counter of some sort. All boards are plug-in, so I should be able to straighten the chassis without adding stress to PCBs. Important missing parts can be 3D printed. Now looking for the schematic diagram...
