Mission accomplished! The tester slots are full, and no further tubes are needed. Thanks to all of you who helped me fill the tester drawers!

Just like old times...Very nice project.

I remember Radio Shack had lifetime guaranteed tubes, and they wouldn't replace them if they were marginal. So, I'd pop the tube into a different socket for a much higher filament voltage, let it glow like a light bulb till it died (about 1-2 minutes), and get my new tube. My father and I had a code-phrase "socket 58", which I think was for a 35w4 rectifier.  If any of you folks remember Cash Electronics in Torrance, that's where I'd fry my tubes, then take them around the corner to Rat Shack.

I'm glad you finished it out! I see some vibrator slots are still empty. While I have some vibrators, I don't have the boxes for them. The random phototube is a nice touch.

Congratulations!

What was that eight shaped socket intended for?

That's a pin straightener. The red sockets are all pin straighteners. Apparently that one is for two different based miniature tubes.

Here is the original rec.antiques.radio+phono thread documenting the restoration:

Reading that should help explain some of the extra photos in the Flickr album.
