neon display -Toshiba cash register

Three years ago when I inherited quite a few cubic metres of electronics I glanced at these, thought they were probably VFDs, and packed them away for later. Yesterday I came across them again whilst looking for something else and noticed the central plates in the digits and I couldn't spot any filaments. A quick web search only found the Toshiba cash register user manual.
On the bench I verified that they are 'proper', they ARE NEON. There are 10 digits and these are approx 0.6 inches high. Each digit has a dec point and there is a triangle symbol below each digit. [Scale: The pins are approx 0.1 inch pitch.]
A few small pics attached; any data or part numbers would be appreciated. Anyone used these in a project?

They look very panaplex like in appearance, though probably a custom spin for Toshiba if they are...
