Question about open source firmware for a nixie clock project

I am interested in making a six digit Nixie clock but need information on obtaining open source firmware to drive a six digit clock.  It does not matter what microcontroller used just something to make it functional with perhaps a cathode poisoning routine.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Also I wish to thank the folks that helped me make the Eagle device for my tubes using the Sockulater.  Kudos to the member who designed it ...it really made it much easier to design the device!....Thanks!.....Bob..W8UUU
