On the facebook group someone has been trying to make one of these but has run into various problems and can't seem to get ahold of Tony, the designer/manufacturer who had previously been very good at offering support - I have built the 'plasma button of doom and the copper top Lasermad clocks and he was great.

It would be useful to know if anyone here has been in contact with Tony at Lasermad recently?

BTW, Paul Andrews has built a working version of this clock and it's very cool. For advanced builders only though, I reckon.
