Not sure if there are any collectors on here that don't have one of these already, but I suspect this listing won't last long:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/302427287408

Personally I need to save my pennies before one of these would be in my reach....

Poof! It's already gone. Sold for more than 1400 USD.

Even if I won a lottery, I dont see a 6-tube clock with CD47's in my future.

I've said this before....fugly tube.

However, being able to light a room with a clock does have it's appeal, but not at those prices!!!

Me neither, it would join my 'iconic tube' collection, which I periodically light up.

Dalibor needs to make a CD47 equivalent tube :)

I think that you would need to save more than pennies to buy it...

They are big but the digits are really strange looking. If Dalibor made a tube with digits that were as tall, he would probably use a much larger envelope so the digits weren't so skinny and stretched out. His tubes are much nicer looking!

Guys, you never know how much it was sold for. If you do "Best offer" on your product, and you accept the offer made by someone, the item gets marked as sold, but the price will not update.

I made a very low offer just for fun, and the seller made me a counter offer (950$) minutes after i send my offer.

So there is a big chance this tube was sold way under the listed price...

Just for your info :)

Good to know.  Thanks.  :)

Sorry for sounding like a broken record, but $950 would buy six long life RZ568M tubes.  I think CD47's are standard life tubes, based on the pictures of used tubes I've seen.  I know which I'd rather have!  :D

Still, it would be nice to have one CD47 to light occasionally, or to have for display purposes.  Years ago, someone sold one that failed even though it had been meticulously stored & handled.  Ouch!

Anyone have a bad one willing to sell or trade???

I'm willing to rent one for a few weeks just to take a good look at it, and pass along to someone else.

Several years ago I hesitated on a buy-it-now auction for a defective CD47 priced at 80 USD . Every now and then I regret not grabbing it.

Now that would be an awesome nixie!  You wouldn't need any other lights in that room!

I could see a Solitube clock made from that tube and put it in a Lighthouse for double duty:)
