Hello all,

I'm new to the group.  I've been tinkering with Nixies on and off after discovering them while watching a movie (Tomorrow Land) with my youngest son some years ago.  I started with a Spectrum IN-18 kit from pvelectronics about 6 years ago and then their funclock kit that I gifted to my mom (I honestly just wanted the enjoyment of assembling the kit).  I discovered Dalibor's Zen clock and while it wasn't a kit I had to own one.  It's now the centerpiece of our living room.

Over the last several years I continued to collect tubes and some kits but, didn't have the time to assemble them due to work and home improvement projects around the house.  In recent months with the impact COVID has had on my industry I've found more time to tinker.  We renovated our garage a few weeks back clearing out a lot of useless items and giving me the room to update my workspace.  Since then I've been on a tear assembling a few kits I've had in storage for months and even years.

All that is to say that I finally found the time and space to renew a piece of surplus government equipment that I bought over a year ago on eBay.  The label that had been on the front of the device indicated that it had been from Ft. Meade MD.  Old NSA equipment?  I really don't know.  It had been completely gutted except for the nixie display and driver board (b-5440's) and the power supply.  I disassembled it, cleaned it up, and installed a arduino clock board from nixieclock.biz.  It's now on display in my garage over my workspace. :)
